Medigap Plan L Comparison

Compared to other Medigap Plans, Plan L offers a smaller percentage of costs in order to reduce your monthly payments. You avoid paying for coverage you may not need, while still being almost fully covered in areas you do.

Like Medigap Plan K, however, you do run the risk of higher out-of-pocket costs than with other plans. Because not everything is covered, if you require care in an area outside of Plan L, you will have to pay for it yourself. If you are worried about this and want 100% coverage in the same areas, Medigap Plan D may be a better option for you.

If you want to pay an even smaller monthly premium, Plan K may be a good option for you. It covers the same areas at a rate of 50% instead of 75%. Once again, however, keep the risk of out-of-pocket costs in mind with this plan as well.
