Medicare Supplement Plans

There are 12 different Medicare Supplement plans for you to choose from. Each plan has varying costs and coverage options, giving you a huge variety of plans to choose from for your healthcare needs and budget. Here is a brief introduction to each plan:

  • Medigap Plan A: Plan A is the most basic of the plan options. It covers some Medicare Part A and Part B costs, including hospital and hospice coinsurance/copayment, Part B coinsurance/copayment, and some blood transfusion.
  • Medigap Plan B: Medigap Plan B covers all the same costs as Plan A, as well as the Medicare Part A deductible.
  • Medigap Plan C: Plan C covers all the same costs as Plans A and B, as well as skilled nursing care facility coinsurance, Medicare Part B deductible, and 80% of foreign travel emergency care costs.
  • Medigap Plan D: Plan D covers the same costs as Plan C except for the Medicare Part B deductible and Part B excess charges.
  • Medigap Plan F: Plan F is the most comprehensive coverage option of the 12 plans. It covers all the same coverage as Plan C, as well as 100% of part B excess charges.
  • Medigap Plan G: Plan G offers the same coverage as Plan F except for the Medicare Part B deductible.
  • Medigap Plan K: Plan K covers 100% of Part A coinsurance & hospital costs, 50% of Part B coinsurance or copayments, 50% of the first 3 pints of blood for transfusions, 50% of the Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, 50% of skilled nursing care facility coinsurance, and 50% of the part A deductible.
  • Medigap Plan L: Plan L covers 100% of Part A coinsurance & hospital costs. It also covers 75% of the same costs as Part K.
  • Medigap Plan M: Plan M covers 100% of Part A coinsurance & hospital costs, 100% of Part B coinsurance or copayments, 100% of the first 3 pints of blood for transfusions, 100% of the Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, 100% of skilled nursing care facility coinsurance, 50% of the part A deductible, and 80% of Foreign Travel Emergency Care.
  • Medigap Plan N: Plan N covers 100% of Part A coinsurance & hospital costs, 100% of Part B coinsurance or copayments, 100% of the first 3 pints of blood for transfusions, 100% of the Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, 100% of skilled nursing care facility coinsurance, 100% of the part A deductible, and 80% of Foreign Travel Emergency Care.
  • High Deductible Plan F: The difference between this plan and the regular Plan F is that this plan charges a significantly low monthly premium and a higher yearly deductible.
  • High Deductible Plan G: The same idea applies to this plan as High Deductible Plan F.
